Our Story Since 2008
WTS Plumbing & Heating Limited was founded in 2008 by William Smith and is still family run today. The company works from Unit 2, Jayes Park Courtyard in Ockley, about seven miles south of Dorking on the A29, and that office is where jobs are booked and engineers set out from. WTS started as a plumbing and heating firm working in Surrey and has grown into a company that installs and maintains plumbing, heating, drainage, renewables, air conditioning, electrical and mechanical services for households, landlords and commercial clients. Most of our domestic work is in Surrey: Dorking (RH4 and RH5), Reigate (RH2), Leatherhead (KT22), Ashtead (KT21), Epsom (KT17, KT18 and KT19), Banstead (SM7), Cheam (SM2 and SM3) and Cranleigh (GU6).
More Than 18 Years in the Trade
WTS has been trading since 2008, which is long enough to have serviced the same boilers in the same Surrey houses year after year. We work for private households, landlords, construction companies and tier one contractors, so one engineer might spend the morning on a boiler repair in Reigate and the afternoon on the pipework for a new build in Epsom. We agree the price before work starts and every job is covered by a 12-month warranty on parts and workmanship. Emergency plumber cover runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for the Surrey towns we serve. We also work in Wimbledon (SW19), Putney (SW15), Fulham (SW6) and Central London on request, subject to engineer availability.
What We Do
For homes and landlords across Surrey we handle the everyday and the urgent: leaks, burst pipes, blocked drains, boiler breakdowns, annual boiler servicing, landlord gas safety records (often still called a CP12) and full central heating installations, with Worcester Bosch among the boiler brands we fit. For commercial clients and main contractors we provide design and modelling, mechanical services, public health services, commissioning, validations and reporting, sustainability work and infrastructure upgrades, covering Surrey and London from our base near Dorking. - Air conditioning installation and servicing, with F-Gas certification for refrigerant work
- Electrical installations, repairs and maintenance as a NICEIC Approved Contractor
- Large-scale mechanical installation for commercial buildings, from design and modelling through to commissioning and handover
Community Focus
WTS is a family business and it takes on and trains people locally. We take on apprentices, offer work experience placements to people who want to see what the trade is like before they commit to it, and sponsor grassroots football teams. Our customers tend to stay with us: landlords who need a gas safety record every year, householders who ask for the same engineer at each boiler service, and contractors who bring us onto the next site. That only happens when the work is done properly first time, so that is the standard we hold ourselves to.
Our Team
The team is made up of plumbers, Gas Safe registered heating engineers, electricians and project managers, all working out of the Ockley office. For the commercial side we also have a base in Fulham, which keeps us close to the London sites where our mechanical services work takes place, including Moonbug at Camden Lock, Kew Gardens, Cabot Square, Cannon Street, Voysey House and Moor House Level 9. Our heating engineers are Gas Safe registered and the engineer who attends carries a Gas Safe ID card you can check.
